snoopdog 1,256
another thing that makes me think is i can only think of a hand full of dogs that have made top class ..but i can think of three times the amount of bitches the have made the grade .....is this because people go more for bitches i.e.so more make the grade so to speak ...is it a money thing because if it does make top class they can breed of it or keep the same line .????maybe iam wrong but i reckon people can name more bitches the dogs what do you think..????? Guest SJM
There is a theory about bitches having something to do with the energy cells, Its some fancy name beginning with M, mitchochondria or something like that? (SP) if you have a look on m o ochers under "Frisbee" posts, theres a debate on there about it, interesting reading I would go and look for it but I cant be arsed maybe tomorrow Quote Link to post

Guest Frank
hows it going shitty arses tina was sold for that reason . you could run it on a tuesday and take 4 then the next time it wasnt interested (half hearted) looking for the easy way out. for the the breeding lucky was a one off, a freak that wouldnt be repeated with breeding through that blood, sniper was the same, dogs like them only come along every few years by chance. So, does that mean, say, if i got a pup off 2 great hare dogs, that it would nor be a garentee to be top class? Cheers, Frank. Quote Link to post

whin 463
i think a lot of top class dogs are bred and timing, of getting pups, my buddy has two top class dogs choco and jocko , from the border regions of england x scotland , plus hees had a few others which were good , ive had three or four good dogs , sniperx jade he was a cracker , but i had him to fill the freezer and sell loads of veni which can spiol a good day light dog , running several roe nightly and hares ,the tor of dartmoor cross , took three,s and four regulary up till four years old, but the old veni was more important ,,im lucky localy we have massive feilds with hares, simliar to the fens , not as big but big enough to stretch a dog for three minutes in some areas , ive always went for breeding ,i could see the breeding and some of the relaitions , the only way realy to have achance , ive got a yun un the know out of choco to lana my own line shes doing realy well at day light , heart of a lion and every chase she runs to kill . shees a bit like the sniper x jade pup ten years ago its funny how things turn around , some dogs come good late 14 months ,others come early, i remember getting the sniper jade cross out of little jade , i took him out from a pup hunting with my old collie cross luke by the time he was ten moons he was starting to come on , we went out one night caught a rabbit and a hare no great chase ,down in berwick shire, on the way home 3 in the morning saw four roe , sol the sniper jade cross goes after the roe five minutes later , i abandon the car i shine the lamp , therre he is a feild away with the roe , some dog some pup , to me breeding entering feeding and timing , i never worked a winter for ten years and if i had a pup who was ten moons maybe august, he got his first winter and usaly they were the best dogs etc , all the best to those that luv the long ears and the chase , Quote Link to post
