hilly 6
Not sure if this is in the right place but will ask anyway. Took the Ferrets out today to start off the season and laid all nets down, popped in my Jill and within seconds out thunders the first Rabbit. After getting it out of the net and sorting it I noticed it had fur and skin missing on its back legs and scabs all over it, also the back feet had been worn away and all it had were long claws. I was thinking it looked like Mixy scabs but to take of the skin down to bone and the eyes were nice and clear. Anyone any ideas or is it just Mixy? If pics have worked then a big thanks to dymented. paulus 26
did it look anything like this?
hilly 6
No the head was all clear. Looking at the head I wouldn't have thought anything wrong with it but the scabs and skin missing was mostly on the back end.

hilly 6
Not sure whats its call but VHD? But if I understand it right the Rabbits die down the hole and have no external markings, is that right?
martin 332
It's not Viral haemorrhagic disease,it looks like it might have had it's foot in a snare but got loose somehow. M

carp man 1 219
looks like a snare to me as well
hilly 6
any shot in the bunny ? Its been gutted and skined and no shot found. Must be a snare, just hope the farmer dosn't see any snares as he dosn't want them on his land. If it is a snare then someone has been on the land setting them as I am the only one allowed on (and I haven't seen any) just hope they can keep them out of site of the farmer as he wont be to happy. And I also dont want to get the blame for them being on there. Edited September 5, 2011 by hilly
