Guest born to run1083
last night had a good stroll out with ray (bird) with his two dogs and my bitch, we started on the stubbles but as just been cut as expected rabbits were weary and as the weather was up and down we had to let the dogs work the beam instead of walking up as you would do on a good night, we took a few off there and decided as the weather wasn't on our side we would move to another farm down the road which is grass. the dogs worked well and the rabbits that was run were caught prity much. we decided to check another permission to end the night on, we came up to one that would put todds breding to the test and he passed with flying colours, you couldn't ask anymore. you would of thought he'd been at it a while the way he was so composed and got the job done. bryn also showed another side to him self and showed he has the metal when required, in all the night was a great success, all the dogs performed well and was a good start to the season. the main thing was we got to see each others dogs and there styles of running and I enjoyed it greatly roll on the next night out Quote Link to post

Bryn was good he caught what he was put on, and some of the rabbits were very edgy, some squat+like rockerts, Bryn had to get on to them fast as they were right into the edge. And as it was his 1st night this year, i thought he did well as he aint lamp fit yet, another 5 weeks and he will be at his best again Tod did well as it was his 2nd night in the lamp, used the beam well getting really fast now with loads of drive. And Tod was quite good recall , and behaved well . The best part of the night , was when Tod showed what good breeding he as and done what he was bred for again , for 13 month old Brill. Even Bryn had a go, i thought i knew him after 4years he is tough bugger carnt wait to go again james sound mate Quote Link to post
