Ideation 8,217
To be fair, r.e what are they going to do? I guess a cat could claw one through the wire, might lose an eye? Borrow a terrier and leave it out in the yard over night. Quote Link to post

rob190364 2,594
I put money on it being two cats squaring up to each other in your garden to be honest....cats make a right row when they're squaring up, even if they were trying to get in the ferret hutch (which I'd be very surprised about), they wouldn't be making a noise while they were doing it. Generally, most cats would not tackle a ferret, not because they couldn't kill them, but because cats will only really kill things that can't damage them back, that's why a lot of cats won't tackle rats. They usually just stick to mice, birds and frogs. If that cat was trying to get to your ferrets then it's a very wierd cat, especially if it was making a load of noise at the same time! When I say a load of noice it was like 2 secs worth, I don't know you could well be right biti only saw one cat and the ferrets were running about. Anyhow will see what happens over next few nights. Cats will usually run from ferrets, I used to have a big tom, he'd been run over 4 times, scrapping all the time, a real hard fecker.....tried to introduce him to my hob in my shed and he was climbing the walls to get out. Don't get me wrong, if he'd have got hold of the hob it'd would have been dead in seconds, but they don't want to know. Quote Link to post
B.P.R 2,798
Next doors cat took 2 rabbit skins I was curing from my garage a couple of weeks ago. Seen it out my window and though, look at that some silly bugger has left rabbit skins where the cat can get them, then it clicked, the silly bugger was me! Quote Link to post
fcuktheban 140
Once a cat leaves it's property it is considered a wild animal and can be treated as such. Not saying you can kill or injur it but you can catch it and have it picked up by our best friends the RSPCA. Let the owner deal with having to get it back and if they give you grief you can tell them the same will happen if it enters your property again. Quote Link to post
