markha 99 Posted August 26, 2011 Report Share Posted August 26, 2011 If its a weapon site you'll only get one on the black market mate unless you can deal with restricted sale items with defence contractors/suppliers. If its just a handheld device there are tons about. IR devices recognition range for handhelds are from 300 to 700m dependant on the quality of the unit and hence price. If its a colour thermal unit then the recognition range is a lot shorter from around 100 to 250m, again price dependant. I guess your just after a unit with which to identify a wild pigs heat source and then track it when it moves if needed, should be able to do that with any of the commercial handheld units.
