ol26 2
Interesting topic lads, got a wooly ''saluki" here and been wondering where his coats come from.. Background to the dig was I got him off a guy at 13 weeks who was getting rid of all his dogs cause if a new job. He said he was a non kc reg saluki from the Blackpool area.. Looked bang like a saluki pup, not fussed about reg. took it on. Proper saluki temperament, makings and feathering as he grew, then at about 12months he started getting fluffy sides, now 18months and still fluffy.. Must be something else in there somewhere, also built like a brick shit house! Not slim like most salukis.. Hunts and runs like one though. Bit of a mystery but a damn good dog. Will stick a photo on tomorrow. Any thoughts? What would add a bit of build and a fluffy coat to an almost pure saluki?? Quote Link to post

moonlighter 1,165
Nice dog coursing lad.... It's hard to think its the same dog! The coat really hides what's underneath. 1 Quote Link to post
ol26 2
My dog isn't crazy hairy, just on his sides, ankles and chest, probably twice as long as his back.. Can't be pure, I must be a dash of something in there.. Quote Link to post
