take the nicest bits of meat off for myself weather it be wood pigeon, rabbit or pheasant then carcases go to ferrets and dog.

Chest freezer in the shed is good for the days when you bag up.

 

I regular take to work pan fried pigeon breast / rabbit sarnies with red onion and mayo on thick wholemeal bread, yummy!

 

Packet meat from the shop for sarnies is well over priced and crap in comparison in my opinion.

 

Allways tastes better when worked for and free!

i use ever bit of meat caught for myself dogs and ferrets bar fox but i remove their tails for playing with the pups

I eat it or feed it to the dogs and the skins/heads are given to a friend who is practising taxidermy

aye we eat most of the rabbits caught while ferreting with the left overs going to mates or to feed the animals.

 

get your self a mincer for the rabbit, and u can have rabbit bolgneise, rabbit (shepherds pie), bunny burgers, etc

boil rabbit for 20 mins cut legs off and back and shallow fry until golden brown with plenty of salt beautifull and yes i eat 90% of what i catch

use to eat it all when was young .dad was full time at it ,rabbits pheasants ,deer etc..tried everything.all good ..nowadays i feed lot of gear to dogs and sometimes fire a rabbit or 2 in slow cooker .but kids nowadays would be sick if you told them rabbit was for tea.
