Paul Scholes Testimonial

Recommended Posts

Much as I detest the red fuckers, Scholes is one of the great midfielders.

Any young aspiring midfielders could learn a lot from watching him..........like all great midfielders he would break up the play, make the tackles, win the ball and play it simple.

He knew when to go flying in studs up if someone was bossing the game, when to hold back and he could score too.

Most of all, he was a good pro, kept quiet and got on with his football..............

I would put him in the same class as Dunga, Petit and Viera...........very similar to Dunga in lots of ways

He's said recently he quit the national team because of the selfish cnts who were in the team with him who used to refuse to play out of position & only wore the shirt for reasons of personal gain and glory.

Dont make no difference he,s not the first and wont be the last player to play out of position or have issues with other players..........Beckham once said if he was asked he would play in goal if it meant putting on an England jersey............I didnt like what Scholes did he acted selfishly or spoilt i dont know which.........either way he didnt have enough pride in playing for his country.................doesnt mean he wasnt a great player,i just think that stuck in the throat of a lot of non Utd people, certainly did me anyway.

IMO the day the FA appoint an English manager is the day we can take pride in England again, a manager is a massive part of any team and if hes foreign then the team is void IMO, NEVER WILL HAVE TIME FOR eNGLAND UNDER FOREIGN REIGN.

Cant blame Scholes for turning his back on that circus to lenthen his United carreer

I dont like having a foreign manager any more than you do.............but i couldnt care less if Bin Laden was manager if he asked me to put an England shirt on you better believe i,ll play any position he asked me to play :D ......Scholes didnt turn his back on England because they had a foreign manager......he had his reasons and thats his call.............but even when asked before the last world cup he said no and that was for 4 or 5 games max............that wasnt to lengthen his career as he retired the season after.

Id have an issue with any player who turned their back on England not just him.....and harsh as it might sound, its not like he set the world alight in an England shirt anyway.

Here sure has been missed since his departure, who knows,he may have robbed himself because i know he would have made a difference.

He can pass a ball forward in a split of a second, which makes him first choice when playing with world class players who can play at phenominal pace.

He controls the center of the park and is almost imposible to mark and the minuite you stop trying he will bury you, shit mate, i cant beleive its over, the times ive looked on the bench in recent games knowing even at this age he could govern and change a game (mainly when were under the cosh)
