post-4256-0-97375200-1312185839.jpg I have just had a few weeks in france,we stayed with some old friends in thier farm house ,it was close to the ille de rance in the Brittany region, although we travelled allover the area ,we saw only one rabbit,, what were there though was Coypu ,we saw lots of them from about 2lb up to 20 lb,one of the lock keepers trapped them on thier runs using cage traps baited with apple,so far this year he has caught about 60 but he knows others who have caught more,he said ,there is a market for the better fur and some of the meat is eaten,he gave us a pot of coypu pate[ which is now inside the dog]. Allthough there was lots of them about i only managed to get one snap of a dead un that was under the bridge, this one looks about 4lb,the picture is better on the camera than the computer,so perhaps someone out there can tweak it a bit?
