Leeview 792
Is it not pre 1947 crowns that are 50% silver? I thought they debased half crowns by switching to cupro nickel in 1947? the local car boot coin dealer is paying 10x face value for pre 1947 silver coins and25x face value on pre 1920 silver coins Y.I.S Leeview

the_stig 6,614
this is what i`m paying at the min / 50% 29p .. 925/8 52p.. 999 - 99.9% 64p ... prices per gram ... 999 £18.99 per ounce .. your coins may be of more interest to a dealer or collecter than scrap value .. pre 47 whr 50% silver Silver at 40 dollars at the moment, whats that about £30 ? i dont know the exchange rate. So your prices seem a bit low, but i only know what i read about it so i could very well be wrong. http://www.advfn.com...iestypes&gid=PM Theres lots of talk about it skyrocketing but of course its all guess work. forget doller prices unless you plan on taking it to the states .. uk prices are always down on the doller price . my prices are in line with other traders in our area if people want cash on the nail thats what we pay .. prices vary from week to week sometimes day to day .. the out lay is big to make a few pounds per ounce and turn it into a weeks wages ... try and get internet prices from a dealer .. all mine goes to birmingham at £2. per ounce profit .. i only put my prices up for a guide .. its gone up from around 37p per gram for 999 since jan it may level out but predictions are it will hit a peak around christmas prob based on people needing a few extra £s that time of year ...
