As above, if they're ferral they're fair game but don't get hung up on the pets thing. There's plenty of folks who keep rabbits, pigeons and doves as pets

Im not mate, dont worry lol adam will tell you that im not easily "upset" for want of a better word lol im guessing the Kz is the same as a rabbit?? you hear so many stories of cats turning up with airgun wounds by nobs who havent got a clue/a rifle powerfull enough to do the job, ill admit it would affect me to just wound one, i just dont want to risk him getting somebody else in to do the job if i dont, thats how permissions are won and lost

When i lived in Catterick the game keeper (a policeman to) there had a problem with feral cats killing his pheasants up in the troops training area, no where near houses I must add and they were defo feral.

 

I know he wanted them killing but they were very cunning and everytime he was going to shoot them with a high powered rifle they wouldnt show.

 

One day me, Festa, Marksman, Garfield and Reggaeman from this section all went shooting on my permission with my Wheeler patterdale cross Irish staff Zini in this rural sewage works (military not civilian).

 

We just got out the car and i let the dog out for a pee when he shot off down a track and into some bushes going crazy at something which i thought was a fox in the bushes (he doesnt like foxes much and tends to ablitarate them quickly).

 

We all run down this track 40 metres and around this corner and there was Zini with a black feral cat in his mouth by the head. He had bitten the cats skull and smashed it into bits killing it outright (bloody terrorist he can be).

 

It wasnt planned and it was over before we could stop it before the antis start firing crap at me. After all dogs will be dogs and dogs and cats have been at war since they first met.

 

Game keeper was well happy though and wanted me to take him shooting more, I didnt though not there anyway.

Yes, dogs do the job well, apart from the 'Cat Hat' issue, only problem is it is now illegal.
