Britishbull24 131
bull x bedlington x greyhound. That seems quite an interesting mix, that would make quite a big dog though wouldn't it, worth a look though Quote Link to post

Cleanspade 3,324
if you are into shooting with an air rifle and shotgun. a gundog breed would suit you better. but if your set on a lurcher that will retrieve shot foxes. a good greyhound cross is the way to go. i cant believe folk are recomending a beddy/whippet for this. if you think it through the guns will take work away from a lurcher. a terrier will give the bonus of shifting a fox from ground or tight cover. i'd opt for a work bred plummer. gundog. or greyhound based lurcher. collie cross would be my choice. good luck whatever you choose Quote Link to post
Britishbull24 131
Thanks alot guys, it's left me alot to think about, I do shoot alot with an air rifle but iv got a few open fields were the rabbits are just out of range, and I won't be getting my FAC anytime soon so I thought a good lurcher would be just the ticket. Iv been put off the idea of getting a pure terrier because 99% of the time I'll just be mooching around and I don't won't to loose it to ground. Quote Link to post
