Guest Rowie Posted February 21, 2007 Report Share Posted February 21, 2007 heres a beddy whippet first cross a cracking little bitch really obedient, i use her for bushing and rabbiting she stands about 18 inch. As you can see she also likes a spot of fishing. i would be quite choosey about the bedlington make sure it is of good working stock. Quote Link to post
Boom 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Share Posted February 21, 2007 I was wondering if any one could help, i am thinking about getting a bedlington whippet, just for rabbits only, but dont really know what to look for in one, whats the average height?ect, any help and photos so i can let the wife see would be of great help, cheers i have a first cross bedlington whippet he's 18inch and even tho he does the job on the rough ground he seems to struggle on flat strait runs (cant win them all tho).. i believe the average hight is 17inch to 19inch but if i was to get the same cross again i would try and get my hands on the one that would make 19inch mark or the biggest i could get... all in all tho i (wouldent) say there bad little dogs and there a joy to watch running bunnys thay also have a great temperment.. I thought about getting one in the past as they are excellent rabbiting dogs day and night. They are more expensive though. I really like the look of the beddy / whippet cross and am sure they are good little rabbiting dogs from what I have herd. Quote Link to post
coyote 0 Posted February 22, 2007 Report Share Posted February 22, 2007 ive got abedlington x greyhound,she is a year old and is coming on nicely,also got a 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington,she is 6 1/2 mpnths old and is 18 inches.the bedlington greyhound is 23 inches. this cross is the best about for rabbiting in my opinion.
