Tyla 3,179 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Share Posted May 30, 2011 Herdwick asked me to visit a grass field hes just mown next to the railway. We've had difficulty keeping on top of the rabbits there as all the buries are on the railway and cant be ferreted and the lights of the railway make the rabbits very flighty on the lamp. Hes lost a fair bit of grass and now its been cut he wants a dent made in them before the next crop grows. Ive been having a go at them over the last few weeks but the high grass has made it hard work. There was a strip about 5 metres wide they've eaten down between the railway fence and the long grass but getting a shot as they cross wasnt easy. Its alot easier to see now and i managed a respectable seven over the hour i was there. Got a bit damp in the process and left the puppy in the van so i could concerntrate on the job in hand.
