gnasher16 31,602
For me Degale gave that fight away he was never hurt and Groves was hurt 3 or 4 times but was still too tentative. He made the fatal mistake ive seen so many times in rematches.....he simply continued the last fight !....So many times fighters fall into the same pattern the first fight took and thats the big mistake Degale made....it was like an amateur fight for 10 rounds single shots and holding the distance....Degale never pressured Groves enough but fair play to Groves he stuck in and gutted it out Degale only has himself to blame. Personally i agreed with Jim Watts scoring i had them even going into the tenth and Degale won 2 of the last 3.....but you cant argue when its that close so well done to the lad. Got to agree the hype on that fight , i thought we were in for another Benn - Eubanks fight , I thought someone was going to get hurt , and all though i wouldnt want to see anyone seriously hurt it was a bit of an anti climax really

I agree Groves shouldnt look back now though i think its clear neither of them will go to the very top so in reality a return is probably the biggest fight out there for him....as for Haye,Frank Warren has done more for British Boxing and British Boxers than Haye will ever do.....this wont be the first time someones had the upper hand on Frank....but believe me he gets their in the end,he is the best at what he does and been there longer than most, infact id say theres fair argument to say apart maybe from Bob Arum he is possibly the best promoter in the world over his years in the game,i dont think this will worry him too much. My pal i gave the tickets to just rang me said your lad up there Paul Smith got a first round ko on the undercard.....our local boy Nicky Cook got a win after a long time out......and also said Derek Chisora and that Tyson Fury lad kicked off in the crowd Edited May 21, 2011 by gnasher16
