silly people with .22 rifles

went out for a walk with the dog today on a local permission and over by a group of tall oak trees were 2 lads with .22 rifles firing up into the tree o.0 .

I was surprised to see the stupidity of some people. Correct me if im wrong but is firing rifle rounds up in the air not very dodgy considering there i roads and houses nearby ??

OK with an air rifle I guess, it will carry a few 100 yds, but 22LR could go over a mile. In the UK it would be illegal for an air rifle pellet to end up where you don't have permission to shoot. Shotgun is the tool for the job.

There was a guy in NI got 10 stretch for manslaughter when a .22lr carried over and killed a young lad 500 yards away. I don't like grassing but in this case . . . Those morons could easily kill someone. They aren't "fit people to hold" an FAC and likely to get all shooters in deep sh*t.
