correct me if im wrong, but...a bull is a terrier, well there very silent at work, havent worked or seen a yapping bullx???

 

I have. Big strong bull cross, started strong I am told but when I got to see him work he yapped like f**k. And that was an end to that. Likewise I have seen others work how they should and I was mightily impressed. I think most will agree, yapping can be genetic but it can also be down to the entering (too hard too young). So to say such and such cross doesnt yap is just wrong. Good and bad in all breeds, some more bad than others.

this bitch seems realy keen she looks down the lamp and wants to go took her out for a walk when i gotback with her but did not slipon any thing

Well, maybe i just had bad luck, but, as i have said, that was just my experience, with the 2 different terrier blooded lurchers i had.

I am sure, their is sound working wheaten crosses out their, that never yap.

Goes for all other terrier bred lurchers, must be a lot that don't yap.

Their is a lot of dirt bred out their and its only getting worse.!

To find a line of lurchers, that are well known and prooven, is getting harder and harder.

i know were there some good one's alright but i also know were there are some bad one's as well and most of them are supposedly well bred

this is my supposedly 3/4grey 1/4 wheaten!! i seen the dam and thought she was a strong lookin article that maybe needed and extra gear... are 1st crosses usually heavy like that in general???

 

 

 

 

 

when he started he threw yaps a wee bit on the turns but to be honest i couldnt ever see the trouble with a yapping dog!!! i hear people complain that it scares away quarry but surely a million cp lamp beaming back and fourth around the field is bound to do the same???

Wheaten crosses and bull crosses are different dogs, both breeds are suffering from the breed any old shit and sell it on malady and good ones of both breeding are good at different things, same but different............

some of the 1st xs can be a bit on the short and heavy side but with all 1st xs weather it be wheaten collie or bull some pups are like the dam some like the sire and some in between and on the yapping side of things quarry and anyone in the area knows there are dogs about when they hear barking and a wheaten barking while it's meant to be working can get you into a lot of trouble

ive bred the odd terrier but only ever keep one lurcher to mooch about with the terriers and ferrets so i generally just buy one in. there are enough folk breeding lurchers hav'nt bred a terrier for many years now either. last litter of lurchers i bred was 21 years ago. lakeland terrier x greyhound glad to see you got your dog

Had one back in the late 's, 3/4 greyhound 1/4 wheaten. It was ok, till it yapped, would yap for Ireland. :sick:

I have also had a irish terrier cross and that yapped too.

I find, anything with terrier in its make up, yaps!

Seen a couple of wheatens too big for squeezing into tight spots in a fox den too.!

The Jack russels i know did a far better job finding the fox ect.

Just my experience on the cross and breed of terrier.

Anything with terrier in it yaps..........what a load of b******s!

 

Everything you had may've yapped but in my experience its got feck all to do with the breed of dog........more the dog itself.

well said his talking shit every dog i hav has terrier in it i hav 2 beddyxwhippets a bull x grey and a wheaton x grey x collie grey and never had one sound from them ITS A BAD CRAFTSMAN BLAMES HIS TOOLS. dont blame the breed when its prob his fault in the first place that they yap.
