fresh earth 47
To be fair dotty my black bitch always has been and always will be my pride and joy the fawn bitch is a handy tool but the black bitch would have put her to shame in her peak a few years back but the fawn bitch is in far better nick in the first pick. I also like a handy lurcher in the kennel but not long rehomed my bullx dog as i couldnt provide a regular enough supply of work for him and i dont see the point in keeping a dog i wont use. All i ever work is rabbits now so the whippets are all i have all barr my wee non ped bitch but she is solely for racing. The main reason for putting the picture on was to show her previous owner how she had come on. I also like the shape of your old black bitch the older lines are by far the best but they are few and far between. Quote Link to post

MOO 730
For what reason ? she is 18.5" 22 lb and exactly what the breed standard states a whippet should be . She works day and nite on the lamp with ferrets and long nets jumps like a bullx and retrieves i couldnt ask for more. Out of curiousity id like to see the shape of whippet you do like . how do bullx's jump Quote Link to post

fresh earth 47
Some cracking whippets there i also think its alot down to tase i have been told alot i should show the bitch and a few friends who i race with have said they would show her but its not where my interest in the breed lay's .I like that wee bitch goldfinch also like yours triple tree i always find they take to things better when brung on with a dog that enjoys jumping etc the bwra pup i have swims like a fish and my others wont go in unless they need to. Pup only likes it as she has been brung on with my mates cocker pup so she thinks swimming is the norm . I also like a well put together whippet martin but as i race i need to keep bellow 21" a dog i bred from my black bitch is a flying machine he is running with the top dogs in the country but cannot compete as he is 1/4 inch over the 21". As for the bullx jumping i mainly said it as the bullx's i have kept and work with all go over fences like there doing hurdles. Also see alot of piks of them jumping i suppose the deerhound types i have kept jumped just the same but never see as many of them about now. Quote Link to post
thepoacher 6
prefer the smaller type whippet and respect the way you handle other peoples opinions FE , nice dogs everyone Quote Link to post
rolysmate 49
My little bitch is 18.5", her pup is going to top out a little smaller I"ve also got a dog pup here that I think will top out around 18.5"/19". I prefer the smaller type that fit into the breed standard myself, whippets should be whippets Quote Link to post
