TOMO 29,175
I've never understood this "my dog puts loads of wheight on in summer" ! My dogs get pleanty of exercise, their food is adjusted to suit, and, although they are not in as hard a condition that they are in the "season", their wheight doesn't vary by much between winter and summer! Cheers. My dogs get rested up and very little exercise in the summer that why they put on so much wait dogs need rest after a hard season, Everyone looks after they dogs in diff ways my dogs will double there weight in the summer DOUBLE THERE WEIGHT i think your exagerating a litle there iceman, 10lb on a dog thats normaly 50-60 lb is a hefty chunk,,, but i dowt very much the dog could eat enough to put 50lb on 2 Quote Link to post
tag 29
double the weight ?? ,i doubt it , if the dogs not being worked as hard , cut back on the size of the feeds /protein content , but i wont be cutting back on walks /exersize ,the dog will still need walking and some air through its lungs , if anything get em out just to keep em stimulated and socialised , a dog may loose that sharp /tightness look it has , and look a little smoother/softer through untaxed muscles and may even gain a LITTLE BIT of exess out of season , but the overall weight shouldnt be all that different , ........
