wabbit slayer 16
Two of my Jills will be giving bith soon, they are in a hutch with two other jills that are not pregnent. Will it be ok to leave them all together when they give birth or do I need to split them? The two hobs were removed a bit ago and put into two other hutches to stop them fighting and killing any babies. Any advice would be great. Quote Link to post

stubby 175
if all the jills living together get on fine, then as long as the hutch is big enough to house 4 adults and a possible 10 plus kitts, then go for it, the other two jills will act as surrogate mums and help out Quote Link to post
theferreter 311
take the two jills that arnt preganant out and leave the other to together they should have no problems feeding the kitts together i kept to jills together last year and dident have any problems these two ferrets are litter sisters and have always been kept together how did the two preganant jills get on before they were in kitt Quote Link to post
The one 8,594
If you've got the room and spare hutch separate them ,but they should get on fine if they have been together any length of time Quote Link to post
