the only problem i could think of if it throws to the bitch and the end up to small . personally if i was crossin a whippet with a terrier id either get a tall jrt or a beddy to put it over . iv never owned a whippet beddy but alot of people praise them for at they can do for their size

Just wondering if I bread my whippet dog to a border terrier would I expect any specific problems during birth ie because the dog is bigger than the bitch

I know of some one with this x put a whippet to his border bitch they turned out cracking pups fantastic for rabbit rat and general pest work I think a couple of them went on to kill fox on top and under hot tempered little feckers good coat good feet good drive.Give it a go I,m sure you wont be disappointed.

I couldn't be more pleased with mine: he is a great bushing dog, very driven, gets into any cover, very good ferreting, works the warrens properly, catches bolters, flushes fox and isn't scared of them at all despite his size. Easy to live with at home: a real Jekyll and Hyde. Only downside, if you could call it a downside is that he isn't fast enough to catch rabbits running for home on top on smooth ground: he is only 17". As part of a bushing pack he is superb, and on his own ferreting he is one of the best I've had. Very biddable too. He was out of a Border bitch to a pure Whippet dog.
