hedz31 1,308
Had a fair season had better had worse no complaints got 2 pups entered with a few digs a piece hopefully the bitch will settle next season dog pups seems the steadier bet, lost a decent bitch through work abit peeved about it but no point dwelling on it even got the old boy out of retirement for a decent dig felt slightly guilty after but he seemed to relish it,other terriers doing well had a few good tests for them really pleased with the little sam dog clocking up the numbers now and really pushed him this season definatly his fathers son but there always good till they throw in the towel or drop a bollock ye never know whats round the corner Quote Link to post
fat man 4,741
So what you do MUSH one dig and off home. Its not very hard clock up 60 digs,we often had 3or4 digs in a day.We start in september and dig through to mid febuary,so plenty of time to do it,and it was actually more than 58. Yes you could say that because were i live you could be out all day looking for game home! but as long as were truthfull to our selfs thats all that matters, O yeh! the old work thing comes into it aswell....Mush Good for you that has work to go to.Plenty of game in the ground around us so no prob geting a few digs each day we are out,our biggest prob at times is having dogs fit to dig to,they all need time off at some stage to recharge and heal. 2 Quote Link to post

FightTheBan 1,147
I can assure you it won't just be me that feels the same. If you have lost that many in such a short space of time you may want to assess what type of dogs you keep and what kind of terrain you are digging. FTB Quote Link to post

Guest dee mac
Thats it mush we have a bitch that had 20 digs this season and 27 digs last season with the other 4 all into double figure s plus what the young dogs managed on top there was days we dug dogs that by right could of done with another week in kennell s and there was another dog with ten digs too his credit that decided it were nt for him and that was that some time s i think less dogs well tested is better than loads of dogs with only a few digs as its time in ground that shows you what you ve really got in your back yard. 1 Quote Link to post
