Ratty goes to ground

Recommended Posts

I had just finished zeroing my Career 707 Carbine when 'the boss' told me to bring my gun round to the back yard. A small rat had been raiding some bin bags we were about to put out for rubbish collection. I stood in our back doorway elevated above it and bided my time. Whiskers, then a nose appeared but quickly disappeared out of sight. Then its tail appeared briefly before vanishing again. Then it emerged into the open less than 7 yards away. With my scope on x 3 mag I put the cross about an inch and a half above its head and pressed the trigger. It was goodnight Vienna for Ratty!
