i think theres one on ........... blitz and batteries for £80

dont no weather there is ment to be a link there mate but nothings come up :hmm:

I wouldn't bother with the Blitz, there is hardly any difference in the beam compared with the 170 (I own both and almost never use the 240) and it is much bigger and very clunky and awkward to use. Buy a 170 is my advice.

hi there whippet boy.

I totally agree with Nightstalker. the Blitz is a very awkward un-balanced lamp. almost like walking through a field with a wok in your hand  For lamping Rabbits all i use is the lightforce striker 170. I even find you get a better spot with the 170 than the blitz 240! oh...... and yes the the striker 170 is cheaper than the blitz, better value for money too.

All the best, happy hunting

Pursenet

i also use the 18amp battery and i know i can do 3 full nights lamping with the striker 170 without losing any power what so-ever.

think i might get the striker how much am i looking for a lightforce striker and a 17 amp battery??? and thanks for the replies so far :thumbs-up:

Christ there's a lot of feckin' fitness fanatics on here... I can't think of any other reason for carrying such big batteries around plus any game you catch. A few miles up and down the hills round my way and you'd soon do the sensible thing and chuck the fecker in the hedge and go and get yourself a nice light 7AH battery and then get down to the army surplus shop and get a big wide belt and a nice belt pack to carry it in. As for a battery lasting three days, what wrong with charging it up after each session?

Go on Ebay the shop is called General Shooting supplies and the Blitz is £73 and the Striker is £55.Most people I know lamp from the vehicle with the Blitz and walk around with the Striker and a 18 amp belt pack.

blitz is the best lamp i've owned.

buy one, unless you can get hold of an old "coleman" 800,000cp..

as MickC said, goto ebay GENERAL SHOOTING SUPPLIES, cheapest place i have found.

Pursenet - what do you call a full nights lamping ? 5 hours or more? so your battery lasts for approx 15hours without losing power, where do you buy your batteries from, as i use a 16a/h wetcell and only get about 4-5 hours out of one charge.

between 3&4 hours Rabbithunter.

Believe it or not I use Debens own 18amp battery it lasts brilliant! they also do one in 20amp. The problem is if you don't keep topping the charge up even when your not using the battery the cells fry really easy. Believe me i'm on my second battery in 2 years!!!! :(

Give them a try mate.

All the best. Pursenet
