wabbit slayer 16
right lads i know this question will have been asked before which gun 410 or 20 gauge i'm thinking of getting one preferably a mossberg hush power can anyone who as bought ether gun give me any pros and cons on there guns ammo prices the gun will be used for ferreting bad places ratting and the odd pigeon any advice will be much appreciated Hi Mate I've got the baikal 410 hushpower and I love it. I use mine when im ferreting rather than putting down nets feels more sporting. Its great on rats too. The only thing I would change about it is an extra shot or too. I was looking at the mossberg but got told that its not as quiet as the Baikal and a tit longer too. But I have never had a go of one so can only go buy what i've been told. Think you prob use same place as me swillington shooting supplies. last time I poped in I'm positive they had some of each in. As for ammo I use Eley 3" around £6.75 > £7.50 a box of 25. jackinbox99 41
Ive the mossberg pump hushpower in .410. Personally unless you definately need more than 1 shot id go for the single barrel hushpower. 2nd hand the single barrel .410 hushpower tends to be about 250quid, but the mossberg one fetches nearer 500. Is it worth double the money for those extra shots? I thought so. The bad point with the mossberg is that cos of the action, the gun physically is a lot longer than the single barrel hushpower. So, it takes a bit of getting used to. I have to take it appart to get it in the cabinet even. Also, cos the silencer is smaller apparently its not as quiet as the single barrel ones. Ive not had any problems with noise on mine, its pretty quiet and a very usefull tool. Also, built quality is awesome, nice and solid pump. And they hold their value very well indeed. stubby 175
I have a pedretti single shot hushpower, but wanted more than one shot, second hand mossbergs are like rocking horse poo, or they hold their price being in excess of £500, so I opted for this, a norca 410, bolt action 3 shot full hushpower, used with sub sonics, it really is as quite as a springer air rifle, love it Quote Link to post
