zini 1,939
You want to put that comment to the test do you Steve with some friendly testing ? That's a very random and unproven statement buddy. More i would say down to your personell thoughts and not the truth. . I'll tell you what mate if your so confident that your statement is correct I'll put me and my .22 r10 against you and your .177 AAS400 and we can do it on video with Davy and co as witnesses and put the results on here for the others to see. I bet you now that your rifle will not knock the socks off my r10 . I'm not saying my r10 is better I just think you couldn't back up your statement with physical proof as both rifles are as good as each other . Si Edited March 6, 2011 by zini Quote Link to post
hunter1989 91
I'm not saying my r10 is better I just think you couldn't back up your statement with physical proof. why? am in not in your league? ok buddy my un tuned s400k vs your tuned r-10 what the test buddy? dont forget your is turned which ent really a fair test but im sure i will keep up easy with your r-10 even no its tuned buddy be a good friendly test buddy what ever the outcome Quote Link to post
hunter1989 91
si mate i can back up anything i put on here im good for that buddy no a problem. but i am sure that my s400k.177 will easy keep up with your tuned r-10.22. im not the best shooter but ive mastered my s400k buddy over the last few months. so test is on buddy friendly like you said buddy Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Well I’m sure Andy@Archie would borrow me his un tuned r10 at his range which is also .22 buddy so the test would be more fair for you. I just know that you couldn’t prove that statement mate. Sorry mate but statements like that are just personal preferences and not the real facts. If someone was to read your statement that don’t know that much they would believe you giving BSA a worst name that they already have. Don’t forget its not me saying that my rifle is better, its you saying that Air Arms knock the socks off a BSA every time. I’m afraid I don’t agree as if you get a good BSA (yes I know not all are good and AA have a better rep) the BSA will match a Air Arms for accuracy, quality and anything else.. Si Quote Link to post
hunter1989 91
very true si as my r-10 and ultra were both good but i just rate aa a tad more than bsa and like you said thats my personal view on it Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Steve your changing your words again now. Now lets look at your original post "get a air arms rifle knock socks of bsa everytime" My reply was "I'm not saying my r10 is better I just think you couldn't back up your statement with physical proof as both rifles are as good as each other". Regarding you backing up all you say on here I dont really think so buddy, not when they are like this one. Regarding you mastering your rifle, what do you want me to say to that? This test will just make you look silly pal as you will not knock the socks off my or Andys r10. You better get out and get practicing then buddy and learn to outshoot your rifle Si Edited March 6, 2011 by zini Quote Link to post
hunter1989 91
the test wont make me look silly its just a amateur up against a pro lets see the outcome thats all friendly battle thats all no hard feeling at all buddy let talk though pm instead as we are hijacking the bloke thread Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Yep sorry Millsy, I didn’t mean to hijack your thread buddy. An r10 is a good call pal if you manage to get a good one. Just be aware that not all r10s turn out to be as good as mine and Andys is. I’m the first to admit that pal, but if you get a good one, they are pure quality. Steve, If your referring to me as a pro then your being well over too optimistic pal towards me as I m just a average shooter probably like you are mate if the truth be known. Saying that I’ve never shot against you, so don’t know how good you really are mate. You may be a demon shot for all I know. Even if you are as good as you come over as in your own posts, you still wont be good enough to make a good BSA look second place to a Air Arms mate as both rifles are of the highest quality and more accurate as me or you or anyone I know on this forum. It’s not about who is the better shot anyway pal and who can pee the furthest, it’s about the rifles at the end of the day. I just want to see you prove your statement. It would be no difference if you said the AA is better than a Weihrauch, Daystate, Falcon, I still would have been sceptical and I bet others would have been to buddy. The quality of pcps now days in regards to accuracy is of the highest standards and a match grade barrel is a match grade barrel. It’s all down to personal preference and nothing more. A £1200 Daystate Air Wolf may fit one person great and he shoots great with it but another person may not like the feel or look of it and opt for a £300 rifle instead gaining much better personal results. That’s all I’m saying now on this as I’ve had my say mate. We will let the results do the talking now. They are both quality rifles. Si Edited March 6, 2011 by zini Quote Link to post
millsy44 72
Dont worry about it boys, steve i dont like the look of any of the air arms guns, plus the fact you get nowhere near the amount of shots that you can from the buddy bottle system, couldnt be chewed filling up every 30/40 shots, and like ive said the look of the air arms rifles dont do anything for me, im not doubting performance (because i wouldnt know, no having had an air arms pcp) but there just not for me, i prefer the BSA range, never had any trouble with any of my BSA guns, so im sticking to what i know Plus every bloke and his dog has got an air arms these days (which tells you they must be a decent rifle) but itll be an BSA R10 for me, failing that ill keep the S10 Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Plus every bloke and his dog has got an air arms these days (which tells you they must be a decent rifle) Hi Millsy, They are not decent rifles buddy, they are brilliant rifles mate, and I’ve witnessed regs on her pull off some outstanding shots with them in person. The rifle that I buy to fit on my new Pulsar NV550 digi scope will be a AAS410 in .177, but thats all in the future. I rate the range very highly after seeing friends on here shoot with them and me trying them out to. Si Edited March 6, 2011 by zini Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Mole's wife loved the ultra, but found a very competitively priced second hand Air Arms S200 with all the kit, so bought the Air Arms.... Photos being posted soon! Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
A BSA Ultra is also a very good rifle pal . Put a Tench reg in it for £120 and its awesome and will keep up with just about any hunting sub 12 ft / lb rifle . Mine shot car dust caps at 55 lased metres and tooth paste tops at 50 metres, all witnessed with ease. Some of this was done through scope camera as well for proof. rossi_j 99
Hey millsy both bsa rifles are nice, you already have the s10 wich you shoot very well Do you just want a change as you are bored with it? If I were you and I have a rifle that I shoot well with that is reliable and accurate I would hang onto it, people call them "keepers" Make shure you have a good go with an r10 (if you havent already) before chopping in your s10. Just my two pennys mate Good luck with whatever you decide to do, s10 and r10 both lovely in my opinion so you wont go wrong .atb. .ste. Quote Link to post
