Lab 10,979
My dogs have been started on a few times. Never got involved, dogs fight. Or they can run. Must be a lot of unstable minded dogs out there by the sounds of it. Its a lot worse when you see a dog cower when someone raises there hand! Dogs fight!!! Sorry mate but some dogs fight but mine dont, they didnt fight, my pup was attacked and luckily the stupid womans dogs didnt rip him or they'd be in a world of shit.... Its ok saying you dont get involved but thats because you have dogs that can handle themselves. If a couple of serious dogs steamed into your dog and were giving it a pasteing then you'd get involved..... dogs do fight lab, or you wouldnt be posting this thread. And i wasnt having a go at you, you handled it well. I'm putting my opinion across to those who are big and brave and saying what they would have done mate. Kicking dogs etc etc... P.s, my dogs are best mates but they have gone toe to toe over a big bone. Thats theiir place to sort it out, not mine . Of course your intitled to your opinion mate but what am saying i dont belive the "Dogs will fight" attitude......its the wrong attitude to have i'm afraid. Yes there are times when 1 dog will show abit of aggression for a dominance gain but to full on attack another dog is just wrong on the handlers behave.... I have seen aggressive labs at shoots, wanting to fight at every chance they get and they are nothing but a nuisance and are generally disliked in those circles. I chose not to write how i fully dealt with the situation but i did lash out at the dogs. Her pup may think twice about doing it again.....i was protecting my dogs and i'd do it again without a shadow of a doubt. If i thought my pup was in serious danger of being killed then she would be going home with some seriously injured dogs.......fact!!!

Cold Ethyl 63
I get it all the time and admiteddly it really annoys me trying to wrestle a 40 kg bull x and a 28 kg bull x cos they hit back and its not pleasant.I tell the owners thats the bit i dont get i tell them to keep their dogs back cos the males not so keen on strange dogs and throws them in the opposite direction if they run in at him.Flints dominant but patient with it but we all know when you walk more than one dog and one gets hyped it they can all start its one of the reasons the terrier gets taken out seperate cos she can start in an empty room and the long legs back her up to the death
Lab 10,979
yes, your always going to back yourself up on this, as it was you involved. Anyway pal, no worries or hard feeling.. only my pecker up your ricker if you carry on .. Oh is that a promise....... I do see what your saying too mate but if you've got an agressive dog then dont let it of the lead, or if you do make sure you are on the look out constantly. If my dogs had ran up to hers then i would have put my hands up and said "tough shit, thats what you get for not listening".....that wasn't the case here. Really if my dogs were on the lead and her dogs done this she could be in real trouble if i decided to report it.....i wouldn't, but theres plenty folk out there that will........... Cold Ethyl 63
Hes getting better and hes a great dog in every other way thats the point hes good with the kids good in the house and great recall and hes a big nutter but hes fun with it and its only when hes on the lead and they dive up to him he takes it as agression and reacts.I understand it with him and certainly many dogs with a little patience can be changed
JPTfellterrier 65
would of had my wellie firmly inserted up its arsehole if it had attacked one of my two. My lurcher is aggresive to certian degree but wouldnt go away from me. I only let her off the lead where there is no one about and i can see all possible dogs coming you cant talk about "inserting things firmly in arseholes"after seeing your pics il be seeing you in a different light oh dear to late, the imaginations up and running now terrible
Catcher 1 639
Well i'm just back from an eventful walk with my dogs...... Walking along quite happily when i spots a woman and 3 boxers heading towards me,so i call all the dogs into heel and slow down. Next minute i've got 2 boxers running towards me and a panicing woman shouting on them.........Thinking the worst i grabbed the big dog and sat the other 3 down. Boxers run up to me and stop about 5 foot away growling......next minute the big 1 mounts my pup, all fine yet, no problems. Eventually the woman gets up and says "Oh what good dogs you've got"..............trained i think the word she was looking for.. Anyway the young pup tries to wriggle free from the boxer and it grabs him and pins him too the floor, her pup boxer steams in and grab my dog and he is howling like f**k, raging i got it off but it chased him and grabbed him again,so i got it off again!! Steam coming from my ears i tell her that she shouldn't have them off the lead if she cant control them.....her reply "You shouldn't have yours off the lead either then!"...........what a f*****g clown!!!! Been there bud.Just after the ban.I was out on a farm with the Lurchers and air rifle.Walking along i hear this distant shuting. So i sat down and had a fag trying to see where it was coming from. Then i see this guy coming towards me with a dog still two parks away.I could see the guy was upset to say the least.Iput the rifle in the slip.Told the dogs to stay and walked over to see what all the fuss was about. As we got within ear shot. The nutter starts shouting were have you hid the gun i seen you with shooting the rabbits.Iam from the neighborhood watch he told me proudly and the dog he had was a boxers.I ask him to put the dog on a lead as it was growling at me.The prick was having none of it.Tryed to explain to the guy it was not illegal to shoot or take rabbits with dogs on private ground that i had permission to be on and asked him again to please put the dog on a lead as it was making feel uneasy. It will only attack when told to the fool said.f**k this i called the two lurchers over. The boxer soon stopped growling. The guy seen this and f****d off back to neighborhood.
