lurchergrrl 1,441
Just got a call from our Moll .... there is a brown saluki type bitch running southbound on the Northbound carriage way of the A1 between the Metro Centre and the Angel of the North. Moll has tried to catch her but obvious not having success. Please repost where appropriate. Thanks. Quote Link to post

Moll. 1,793
Thanks or posting this girl Sorry it is not your dog rwb41959 An all brown saluki lurcher, no feathering, but a lovely really thick coat. Absolutely terrified, looked exhausted, anyone who tried to catch her she ran in the opposite direction. I got out with Boo to see if another dog would lure her but no joy. Steve Parked in a layby and went running down the A1 with Boo but she was too scared. A lovely motorcycle man from the highways dep pulled into the layby behind me whilst Steve was off trying to catch her. Informed me that if i did not get the car removed from the layby immediately it would be removed and i would incur a £150 fine. He did not care about the huge traffic tail back or the dog...informed me it was not my job (or the others doing the same to try to get her) When Steve returned the police has arrived and the copper was lovely, stopped all the traffic for Steve and Boo to get back to the car and thanked Steve for trying, the dog had been there for hours and all attempts to get her had failed. We had to drive past her again on the opposite lane running into the traffic, it was heartbreaking. Quote Link to post
