snoopdog 1,256
well frank you were right hes to young.....i 630am..with a banning headache red wine always does that to me ..iwas also talking to a very nice person on here till 230am so not muh sleep and a thick head.. ..as i was driving up there i was thinking i cant wait for this its going to be a good day i had that feeling.....anyway got to my port of call met my mate who sold me the pup and another lad who i hadnt met before both lads frpm the n east area...we said our helloos and got to it ..went in the first field and after walking just a few mins i put the first hare up.. as we were spread across the field you now the script lads ....anyway sliped my dog on him it was only about fifteen yards in front of me he was on its tail in no time it took him down the side of the field towards the hedge he put some good bends into it..then it went threw the hedge with my dog in hot pursuit.then they were out of site for a few secs then we so him on top of the field still bending the hare well then they went out of site ..he came back after a couple of mins later with no hare ...as he was coming back at the top end of the field the lad who i hadnt meet before .his dog was on one it coarsed it for about two mins it was good to watch ..and then it nailed it ..good coarse ....his first one in the bag ....we walked a bit further but so only a couple and they were gone before we could get near them ...so we head back to the motor and drove to another spot ....started walking again and with in a few mins again the lad who had one was onto anther ...it was another good coarse and it took the hare in stile two out of two for him .... then it was me again my dog was up on him in no time but feck me these hares could turn this coarse proberly lasted about 2.1/2 mins the hare jumped the ditch with my dog right on his tail they zig zagged arcooss anohter field and he lost it in some small woods i was gutterd i had three more slips all damm good coarses but no take ..iwas a bit down in the mouth ..the lads said hes done well andit will be a different story next season..they said on every hare he was on it and not one hare straight lined him he was on the back of every one of them ...i still couldnt help feeling dissapointed ...hes caught hares this season but in small fields up to these ..these hares dont make mistakes if they had of done they would have been dead ...fook me they could move ....all in all it was a brillent day and watched some superb coarses ...i could off slipped hom ten times but five was enough ..i could tell ..we no our dogs and you should no when they have had enough ...i said my good byes to the lads and took onboard what they said ....they said hes got the makeings if a very decent hare dog ...so at the end of the day he did me proud...a catch would have been nice ...all i can say is this same place same time next season ... ......................... and apoliges again steve 109 .for jumping down your throat...all the best and happy hunting to all.....
