i've seen loads out of buddy run only seen 1 yap and that was the odd yip when she was unfit, more things to worry about in coursing than odd yip ere and there rather that than 1 of them useless slow things that never gets close enough to a hare to bother yappin at

 

I have seen a few out of Buddy run too and like you i have not seen one yap yet. Not saying that they dont, just saying that I haven't seen (heard!) it...

when u think about is it buddy a good producer, or the lines of good breeding behind him. that what makes a good stud dog.there loads of good dogs running but it hard to get a good stud with buddy breeding.so it not the dog thats producing its all teh hard work by the lads who ran the dogs years ago. and when you think about it buddys dam was the best bitch to grace the fen

having seen a good number of his prodgeny run i wouldnt be surprised if we all look back in five years time and say Buddy may be the best coursing stud that there has ever been for throwing good quality pups across the board. Also i wouldn't be awfully surprised if the 'cream gene' becomes overly dominant in the world of coursing dogs, those capable of performing to a high standard throughout the winter. I said this a while ago and got slated, but let us see what the future holds...... JD

so what about charlie merlin joe and loads more i can say buddy does produce the goods at the moment and there is nothing better what people can USE.but it wasnt a quick fix that most people liek to think it was to get buddy it took years and years of hard graft and matching to get buddy lets not forget that. just wish it was like 20 yrs ago when dogs could prove themselves against each other instead of legends through word of mouth but sadly them times have gone.

 

 

Yes Karlsberg, I am not so obtuse as to believe that there has never been another good stud dog in the history of time. But maybe Buddy will end up producing more pups that go on to do 3/3 than any of the other stud dogs you mentioned? Who's to say?

karlsbergs right them days are gone .....sadly the dogs behind buddy made him what he is and hes accesable to the public which wasnt the case with evry good dog. in the future there might be dogs as good as the ones that produced buddy but they probably never get matched to the same extent cos of the ban

one a the best wee dogs i ever had use to let a wee yip out on the first turn a first hare evry time and never done it again dident mater how meny u chased done 3 out of three no problem the only dog i ever kept that done that if she haddent been as good she would have been in a hole theres a od yip and theres yapping coused by not being able to get on terms with what its chasing what one is it what this dogs flinging

3 /3 means nothin in teh macthing world it killing one more than teh next man and proving dog agaisnt dog and runnning different types of land. buddy would be the only stud dog id use apart from me own the further u go from the well the less chance u have of getting a good un and buddy very close to the well

the breed will feck up if you keep using the same dog but its dosent help when people are being brain washed by fools who should know better , same thing has happened with the pure saluki over the last decade by people who are in it for the money.

there is half a dozen decent dogs about at moment ,in my opinion barnie is producing the best at moment.

you will find the best dogs thats been the best in the last couple of years are all based in the south and they arnt from any stud dog from northeast. these are from fresh blood from down there

1, the ones who are jammed that far up craigs ars he cant go for a shit ...

2, the ones that are that green with envy at what craig has acheived with his stuff , and it churns there stomach to see people giving him any sort of credit,

3 the worst of all , the ones who havent seen any of the dogs they talk about run , or even seen the dogs at all, i no some of the lads have seen the dogs run so maybe theses clowns should let them tell it how it was !!
