my bul/collie/grey pups coming up 10 months and on sunday was the right time to take hime out so we get to the first field and shone the lamp theres a group of 4 rabbits together 1 sqauting we creep up to them as close as we can and i slip the pup he takes off straight through the middle of the 4 and didnt know which one to chase he then seperates one couple of turns off the hedge and as he strikes the rabbit just gets away in to the hedge unlucky reg back on the slip in to the next field i slip him on a squater which had kicked up already couple of turns again and it goes in to the hedge gutting i was really pleased the way he was running for his first ever go we went through a couple of dead field then in to the next walked him up to a squater it takes off like a rocket towards the hedge the turns him up the hill back down turns the bunny and he turns it back up the hill knocks the bunny over and strikes first bunny in the bag to say i was chuffed was understatement :boogie: there no better feeling than bringing a pup up and seing it catch hope i didnt bore to many people but id thought id share

didnt bore me at all mate nothing better than their first, what i would say is try and get the dog to identify a single rabbit before slipping it nothing worse for you or the dog watching it run ragged amongst multiple rabbits as it wont catch any of them, but hey so far so good mate
