Ferret Hob Castration price...

Recommended Posts

yep the price does vary quite a lot, you should except to pay around £40 ish £60 at a push, but ive known some vets charge £100 plus, i payed £41 at my vet for my hob to be done, unfortunely ferrets still come under exotics and a lot of vets take advantage of this and screw you for every penny.

my 2 jills were 28 pound each for spaying by local rspca vet....i went to a vet near harrietsham ferret rescue and paid 47 pound each to have them done,,,why?,,coz roy from the ferret rescue reccomended her to me and he says she knows what shes doing coz she does them all the time,,,,money well spent in my opinion,,,peace of mind coz at least shes not some joey vet from up the road that knows sweet F.A,. about ferrets..,,dont shop around for the cheapest price,,if you think enough of em,,get em done by someone that knows what theyre doing,,,nuff said n all the best,,

I know it's old thread but I just got quoted 54 quid for castration in south Wales. Thought it was reasonable price

I paid that for a vasectomy i would honestly be looking for a lot less for a castration its a easy operation

Might have a look around . May still end up paying the 54 quid as the vets 15 mins away and anything animal related we go there . Cheers for the heads up tho
