the fezz 44 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Share Posted January 24, 2007 was having a chat the other day with my old dad about lurchers , differant crosses and so on . he mentioned staghounds and that his mate had a stag x greyhound witch he said was a handy dog (dont now the exact cross ) but it got me thinking are they any good ,does anyone now of this cross , i cant see it being any good on rabbits but should be good on the big stuff (PRE BAN ) Quote Link to post

Yes that's right - used in connection with longdogs in the UK it means a deerhound or deerhound/greyhound not a true staghound - which is a scent hound like an oversized foxhound used in packs for hunting deer in the West Country Quote Link to post
