rimfire scope on a springer?

Perfect answer Andy.

As an HW80 owner myself redda09, 50mm objective lens scopes are fine but, if you can find a quality 40mm scope like a Simmons Whitetail Classic or Bushnell Trophy on low mounts, you'll find your HW80 is a lot more consistently accurate and better balanced.

I have two 4-14x40mm AO Simmons Whitetail Classic on one of my HW80 .22 rifles and the other for my HW77 .22. No other scope touches it for what it does for these rifles performances. If you spot one 2nd hand, snap it up! Simmons no longer makes it alas!

As it is, this Tasco shouldn't present problems for your HW80.

I use a Luger 3-9x42 CF scope on my Diana 52 that's PX fixed at 100 yards, not really ideal for an airgun but....

Set the eye bell focus so that the X hair's in the right focus for whatever range you're zero range is then just make sure you're looking very carefully through the centre line of your scope and paralax won't be an issue

Cheers.
