Nate Barros 0
They are very vocal which is probably why they aren't used more. We used to have some at the kennels and trained for security work, they are very high drive but extremely demanding. Very fast & agile combined with sure-footedness the Police are now crossing them with GSD's as they prefer the weight/bulk of the GSD which the Mali lacks, but they get the higher drive dogs which also have the speed of the Mali with very little litter wastage. I did find the 2nd crosses GSDxMali back to GSD were easier dogs to work with and quieter but still retained the drive & desire to work. I think the Mali would have a lot of good points to add to a lurcher but i wouldn't want more than 1/4 mali and prey it didn't yapp (they sound more like a screaming woman when they start but should add that they only scream when held back from something they want, loose them and thier traps shut). Thats about spot on Shazza, I also have used and bred them that way. I found if you gave them plenty of work that the barking was ccut way down. Back a while I bred a Ring 3 dog that was 27-28 ats to a NGA track bitch and had 9-10 pups they were handy here for the big game and several went to Canada. Here is one that ended up at 28ats 80lbs? love WTD I would really like to get one of these from Canada n8salem@gmail.com Quote Link to post

littlefish 596
The Malinois seems to be a 'serious' kind of dog. I wonder if they are a healthier type than many of the GSDs? Quote Link to post
bunnys 1,236
The Malinois seems to be a 'serious' kind of dog. I wonder if they are a healthier type than many of the GSDs? the mallinois can be serious animals but the right alsation his just has healthy working types hip scored level top lines without exageration , the alsation his a bigger stronger animal . BOTH VERY GOOD WHEN THE RIGHT TYPE AQUIRED . ATB BUNNYS. Quote Link to post
