higgins 75
good this as i was just thinking the same standing in shed with my little head lamp on! i have a few car batterys spare just need to find a light now! car batteries are no good, but if they are spare i'd use them,a leisure battery is the best type as they are designed for many discharging /charging cycles, also get the highest amp rating you can afford, the reason for this is so you never run the battery down to more than half of it's capacity and therefore will aid in recharging and prolong battery life, Higgins Quote Link to post

The one 8,598
Just wire in a security light to a plug and plug it in as your going out to see them that way it wont be on all the time and you will have plenty light and with a 200 or 300 volt bulb it wont be heavy on the elecy Quote Link to post
