The one 8,626
We were out today went to a stable the owner has fifty odd acres but no many burrows we tried a few round her stable block but the lurcher didn't want to know till the second last one netted up and got a pair .Then a guy came over "excuse me i was hear during the week " i thought here we go but hes taken over the shooting of the farm next door and wanted to know how the landowner felt and how close he could come to her land with the horses . It was funny as feck when she says old joe used to drop of a brace of oven ready birds ,and he replied "that dont look likely they have fired over two hundred shots for three birds " i nearly fell down the banking . We made or way away from the steading and i lost a rabbit bolting from tree roots when the net snagged but picked up another pair on the farm road so we finished up there with four . We dropped into another small holding on the way home to see if there was much about after the snow and we did a bit of a railway banking got one out a burrow but struggled to put the pegs in as the ground was frozen solid and has been for five weeks ,We moved round the front and into the sun netted up a two holer the lurcher marked then two rabbits bolted out the one hole at the same time the first one got netted and the lurcher grabbed the netted rabbit and the second one got away but it was a easy mistake " not ". We then went into a really old graveyard and the lurcher bolted a rabbit out a old yew tree and coursed it into a burrow but i felt it would need dug out and i dont really want to be digging rabbits out a grave yard Got the car loaded for tommorrow four of us going to a bit of permission two hour away but usually get a few so roll on tommorrow.
