Symon 93 0
Hello, Just got two new ferrets, got them off a very rough guy. He said he use to have 20 till RSPCA Took them off them but he hid 2 of them round his mums. He also said their water bottle broke two days ago and i asked if they had a drink since then and he told me that one had a sneaky sip of his beer So now they have a new water bottle and fresh water Anyway i payed £25 for 2 hobs and a large hutch, the hutch could do will come cleaning up, but i was wondering what shall i do with the ferrets. I havent checked them over yet as it was getting dark, but will tomorrow. Seem very friendly, i got some antibacterial wipes to wipe them over tomorrow, and il check for fleas ect. What else can i do? Many thanks Quote Link to post
web22 27
give them a good clean, plenty of water and food, you'll soon know if they are ok,if they are seem lively/curious etc then most likely are fine, are you new to keeping ferrets?if so you won't go far wrong asking for advice on here or perhaps get a book so it's to hand. Kay 3,709
I would just keep them separate from any other ferrets you may have & give them plenty of warm bedding & some decent food .. allow them to settle in for a few days .. I don't usually bother handling a great deal after initially settling in a new ferret for a few days Good luck with them  Quote Link to post

Jamie m 668
You might do well to give the hutch a good scrub out then let the air get to it , and as everyone says a couple of days of seteling in and good grub little and often Quote Link to post
Symon 93 0
I have gave the hutch a scrub down, checked the boys over, one seems fine, the other has a water eye. Not sure what this is? They both have the runs, could this be the changing of their food? Im feeding them ferret food all in on and bits of chicken. The man i got them off said he use chuck anything in there dog food cat food and a crow he found dead in a field. Many thanks Quote Link to post
