Phantom 631
I had a hell of a great time, alas the Boar had moved on But hey there is always next time My guide for the evening was a gent named 'Tozza' and the RWS Thirty Odd Six was a superbly balanced piece of kit that felt like perfection in my shoulder Okay, yes it was a posed pic, but forget about me, look at the Baby I'm holding Before it got dark, we were sat in the hide with the wind (and it was a freezing wind) blowing directly into our faces! First to show its face was a Doe, quickly followed by two young. Unfortunately the guy who owns the shooting rights, didn't want the Deer shot today and we had to abide by his wishes! Another time These Deer were only a matter of 40 meters away from us and although the Doe heard me turn on the camera, she did not considder us a threat After dark, there were SEVEN Deer in total all between 30 and 50 yards away from us May not have bagged, but by hell it was a truely fantastic experiance A huge "THANK YOU" to Si for arranging it for me And an other huge "THANK YOU" to 'Tozza' for taking me out; answering all my questions and allowing me the use of his rifle for the evening Phantom Quote Link to post
