my packs half full of welsh hounds, really deep scented, steady, and stubborn to anybody who isnt their owner!!! Including me, the whip!

very good hounds once crossed with fell hounds. superb sized hounds, still deep scented and big voiced, but abit sneakier and faster, I dont get on this much, but im a facebook kind of guy, check out my pictures, your welcome to it. but unfortunatly i dont know of anyone getting rid of any, we have our own line.

When you got a pack of welsh hounds marking strong you better get there soon because ive seen it many times in shallow spots they have dug it out before we had got there! They are a very hardy determained animal!

has happened a few times they have trenched in and job done before we have got there most times it happens in peat bogs were we hunt , Last sunday we had to dig a single hound from a large sandy earth had to dig 3 holes about 7 feet each he stopped barking and digging oncould not get a position on him . no noise for the last 3 hours . left the holes open as there was no stock about . thought he was dead the sand maybe fell in aroud him , went down about 7 ammonday morning he was lying beside one of the holes . the same hound was lost on friday and found on saturday morning covered in peat . thinking of buying a location collar for him

Sorry GWH i disagree with what you say about breeding out of two marking hounds, that the pups out of that mating will also mark,WORK is the only thing that makes a pack of hounds mark nothing else,i've had hounds for 22 years,at the present time im hunting 29 hounds, out of them i'd say 4 have no interest in marking at all , the parents of these hounds are some of the best marking hounds i have here, yet the 25 that do mark are bred out of the best hunting hounds i have in kennel ie' good at finding, running, lead hounds, its like anything the more you put in,the more you get out ,atb
