I hate it with a passion,but then again I love the breed most legislated against and demonised.

even if it was a breed i didn't particularly like i'd still oppose it.

 

imo we need to fight for our freedoms back,but also need to push for personal responsibility.

Yup Its Breed Specific Legislation and basiclly a form of eugenics in dogs. I agree with robo-christ in many respects buuuuuuut to be honest i think some dogs ARE or rather have the potential to be more dangerous than others due to their breed, now they could still be kept by many folk with no problems.. . . .. buuuuuut given the number of total f*****g morons that are really turned on by these specific dogs and what they can do - i dont think leaving it to personal responsibility is going to work. Its like democracy - great - until the greatest number of your society think kiddy fiddling is ok!

well if we just class dog's as property then I think we'll be Ok,I mean a pen can be dangerous in the wrong hand's.

if we make prison more of a deterrent,then personal responsibility works.

i think if we just said you will be charged for whatever damage a dog does as if you yourself done it we would be ok,i.e it bites an innocent person and does real damage you get done for GBH.

The trouble with dogs being " property " is where do you draw the line.....can i rip my dogs eyes out while burning his bollocks on the gas hob before slitting his throat for my own amusement ....its my property right ?

We own dogs but they are not our property.....im not totally against BSL even concerning the breed your probably on about.....some breeds are not for everyone

dogs are property but it seems people arent fully accountable for them imo anyway ,im not saying we should remove any existing animal welfare legislation.

 

i do get what you mean about some dogs don't suit everyone and hopefully soon theres some other breed coming along for all the dick heads to use as ego boosts

I think bsl makes things worse as it attracts more of the dickhead idiots that think there hard with a vicious dog think about it how many people like that have took up hunting because it's illegal if something is illegal to these counts it gives them more kudos with there mates think about it how many yobos had well bred or even a proper bulldog before bsl the dog of choice for them was rotties and dobies n alsations alot won't get what I'm trying say but hope they do as I know it's true as the ban adds an ever greater devil dog tag to what some would consider an aggressive looking dog
