R0G3R 11
Hi guys, I am looking at the Daystate Air Ranger. Specs show 35 full power shots @ 60fpe in .22 cal. I also like the idea of a mag. Whats your views on this rifle? Quote Link to post

R0G3R 11
I went and googled it. Very very nice. A bit out my price range. But very nice! Quote Link to post
psm 43
nice gun ive had one but id go for a rapid7 more reliable and better consitancy, the daystate seems to go through o rings on the inlet valve were you fill up mine went twice here first thought it was the valve itself were you top up air so bought the valve to find out it was o ring didnt last long either before replace, never had a problem with rapid, and daystate felt a bit heavier when carrying over distance,,the magazine though is alot better than rapids,so long as you look after them and dont get any dust/bits in the they last,,the daystate was a better balanced gun also,,,still prefer rapid7 though.......give you something to think about Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,936
Aye Got the airranger in 177. reliable ,accurate and probably the best air rifle I`ve ever used (and I have used a hell of a lot) ATB Quote Link to post
jasper65 6
Must say I have never had a problem with my Ranger eating 0 rings, its been a good stable rifle and very well made, like all these unregulated guns it has a sweetspot but when you're in it its 100% Pellet on Pellet. Mine is in .177 and acounted for a good few head seen I owned it, I certainly could have done alot better but don't get out as much as some of the hardcore lads on the here. all I can say is if I was going to buy another Daystate it would be another Air Ranger! I'm not into all these fandango electric triggers and other electronics fitted in the wolf, I Ranger has a lovely sweet trigger good enough for me. a few old pictures of my Ranger Jasp Quote Link to post
R0G3R 11
Thanks alot for all the input. I am going to take a look at the rifle in next week. Regards, Roger! Quote Link to post

I can't help thinking when we pay all this money for these guns they should'nt have the power swings until they hit the so called "sweetspot", the Manufacturers tell us what we will get in full power shots but they never tell us virtually only half of them are going to be bang on , its silly that a clever guy like Tench has had the know how to provide after market Regulators to compensate for this problem which shouldn't have been there in the first place . atb Jasp Quote Link to post

jasper65 6
jasper you should of bought an early ranger with a reg Did they regulate the early models Samuri? Must say over the last few months I have been tempted to get the gun regulated but put it off lately as I don;t use it much. for the life of me I can't undertsand why they removed a regulator in favour of a Harper valve system which is none regulated ....
