tinytiger 897
I was quite interested in comments made the other day by Boris Johnston about the "ethnic clensing" of some of the areas of London. It got me thinking about how we as a society have been manipulated and overtly influenced by the mass media and past and present governments. Look at how values and attitudes have changed in the last 20-30 yrs. Political correctness is a good example of how the views of a minority affect the beliefs and attitudes of the majority. Laws are introduced to curb or ban freedoms we took for granted not so long ago, the hunting ban being another example of this. The concept of family has all but gone now, views, morals the very fabric of what kept us together has been ripped apart and we're paying for it with the highest rate in europe for teenage pregnancies and knife crime. Drug related crime is rampant. Newspapers now win elections not policys or ideals, the mass media is largely controlled by one man. Some of you that are as old as me will remember living in communities where everyone knew each other and to some extent looked out for one another. That has more or less gone now somewhere along the line or values and views became warped and we turned inwards on ourselves. We have become a nation of whistle blowers, a whats in it for me society actively encouraged to inform on so called benefit cheats who according to our politicians are costing us billions. Confidential phonelines set up so people can call anonymously and receive a fee for informing. We are so busy looking in we are missing whats been happening under our noses. A few convienient scape goats are created statistics are wheeled out to confound us to keep us from looking at the real problem. This country is run by lawyers, public schoolboys with little interest in the working class. the evidence is right there in front of us and we accept what they tell us with little more than a wimper. Look a all the cuts that have been proposed, who will be hit hardest, the poor the lowest paid the f*****g working class. An intersting stat that was quoted recently related to 5% of the highest earners, billionaires entrupenuers who pay virtually no tax. It was calculated that if this 5% were taxed properly they could wipe out the national debt. Instead it falls to us to tighten our belts the NHS got hit harder than the f*****g bankers that put us in this mess in the first place. We've seen first hand how our elected members abuse the system and squeal they were working within the rules and did nothing wrong. We're being lied to on a daily basis by the government...the previous lot were no better. The country is in a mess and we're being left to pick up the tab...remember that the next time those smug fuckers with their feined sincerity are asking you to dig deep. Rant over alcohol finished going to my bed Cant be arsed to write a well thought out reply but basically its all f****d, the reds f****d it just like last time and now we have all got to take the bitter pill...just like last time. Maybe some thick c**ts will think twice before they ever vote labour again....but I doubt it!!! all the one really, choice is an illusion
J Darcy 5,871
Believe me, 2011 will be the hardest year many of us have ever seen. It really is time to tighten the belt and survive.
PeakOil 352
The proles are just cattle there to be milked and herded by big business and government hand in hand. Now we are at the stage where the milking is being increased to three times a day from two and we spend 10 months of the year shut up in the shed rather than 6 months.
