kingoftoosh 15 Posted October 26, 2010 Report Share Posted October 26, 2010 I seen in Airgun mag a while back about making own filters for lamp using some kind of red plastic sheet from art shop .Has anyone done similar or know what material should be used? Not too cheap if the prices of them round here are owt to go by Was going to do same myself. I used the quality street wrapper for a while, but the filters I got are far superior as they are 'optically pure' and allow a huge amount of light through them. Phantom Quote Link to post

Will try this till i get something more permanant.Will need to take some spare quality street ...just in case of emergency,emergency being me needing some food!! acetate,thats the bloody word mate,was wracking my brains for ages,just couldn't remember what it was called. will look into they filters on that link you sent Tony,they look just the jobbies i need. ulverston moocher 60 Posted October 26, 2010 Report Share Posted October 26, 2010 made a couple of my own over the years and the best thing I find is a two littre tizer pop bottle they are red coulerd plastic and the two littre bottle when cut and opened out gives you a fair bit of the stuff and costs next to nowt. rossy08 33 Posted October 27, 2010 Report Share Posted October 27, 2010 was talking with shay (i think forgive me if not) on the phone a while ago he was helping me out with some lamping tips, and im shure he said that he had befor made some out of old scope lense covers. as they tend to be amber on one end, just a cut shut an tape job.. now i think about it why havent i tryed it yet wheres me knife.
