ulverston moocher 60 Posted October 25, 2010 Report Share Posted October 25, 2010 Hi guys just wondered if any body saw river cottage last night and how they cured there rabbit pelts? first they scraped the pellts wich is normal to me but then they rubbed in egg and warm water then streched it over ther knees and worked it in and they said this is the best way to cure well its a new one to me but one I will be trying just wondered if any body on here uses this method with egg and warm water. nobo 1 Posted October 25, 2010 Report Share Posted October 25, 2010 i love all of his old shows like cook on the Wilde side and the 1st few river cottage shows when he still lived in that cottage and i still love his food but over the last few years he has started to do my head in it has got to the point were i can not watch his new shows , i love all of the old cider boys and that bold lad with the chickens it seems to me that now he has got it all he has dropped the lads that got him there a have had a few mates go down to his over the years for a night out with there misses and they have all said that they would not go again good food they have all said but it is a rip off Quote Link to post Share on other sites
ulverston moocher 60 Posted October 25, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 25, 2010 well I dont know the guy so and he aint robbed me but his show on rabbits and how to use there pelts and tanning them was use full will defenatly be giving the egg wash a go I have tried the curing the pellts with brain and it does work well I tried it after it was in airgun world or countrymans weekly. Hughie keeps it real, and very down to earth. He still lives in the cottage and has his old friends right beside him. He doesn't live in the cottage now of ever, he never did live there, only stayed there for a few parties with his townie mates. The pigs were even brought on set.
