Already!?

Was in Tesco this morning and they have selection boxes on the shelves already!! FFS!!!!

Got me thinkin about dinner though, don't fancy turkey this year think we'll get a nice forerib of beef mmmmmmmmm. What do you lot have for christmas dinner?!?

me + my hubby have decided to have a quiet xmas just the 2 of us so dinner will be;-

 

starter

fish platter; prawns, crab, mussels, smoked salmon and smoked tuna

main

roast guinea fowl served with roast potatoes (cooked in goose or duck fat) roast butternut squash, spinach fried in butter, caramalised parsnips, asparagus

desert

havent decided on desert yet!

 

and a bottle or 2 of wine + the telly.

 

new years eve we'll prob have a house party.... after a few hours session at sis in laws pub

traditional for me aswell.turkey and all the trimmings,xmas wouldnt be the same without it.although i prefer the sage and onion stuffing to the actual turkey lol

 

 

 

ooooh yeah and the home made bread sauce, and the turkey sandwhichs and turkey curry for the next week :tongue2:

We're going to have a bird of some sort & a nice joint of beef. You've got to have a bird & some home made stuffing at Christmas! ;)

got a goose last year,cooked it just to see what it was like,dried up like an arabs sandal.so still havent tried it lol yea yea it was the way it was cooked.should have done more research

Yeah they can do that with over cooking. Get the bacon over it and cut the time back. More like beef than chicken due to there eating habits. Seemingly swans are like the best roast beef..... :whistling:

your exactly right mate :thumbs: tasted it when i was 15 from an old irish guy that took me beating.he is dead now but was a really good old boy.
