badgers

Recommended Posts

I'm a bit ignorant of the ins and outs of the badger cull debate. So, do they definitely carry TB then ? Can cattle not be vaccinated against TB like we are ? And if culling proves popular what will the long term impact be on badgers ? Will they be eventually extinct in Britain ?

Forgive the questions, am very curious.

when does it come into force? i bet the badger brigade will get it stopped again before it gets that far

I just hope the UK government have learned from the disaster here in Pembrokeshire and take more care when drafting the legislation. Plans for the trial cull here were abandoned due to an exploited technicality in the wording of the legislation, nothing to do with the actual process...:thumbs:

i am even more interested in your leading questions , ,but heres the answers , YES,LOOK UP BOVINE TB, THE LONG TERM IMPACT WILL BE TB FREE BADGERS IN A CONTROLLED SITUATION, AND NO BADGERS WERE NOT UNDER THREAT OF EXTINCTION PRE 1973 THEY WERE OVER PROTECTED WHEN A SEASON FOR CONTROL WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE THAN ADEQUATE,THEY ARE NOW THE MOST PROTECTED ANIMAL IN THE WORLD
