The man i got my pup off told me before that if the dog came across a interesting smell he would roll in it so he could take it with him all day!?!? Could be a load of old shi£e. But he does roll in everything. Fox s$%t is the worst (so far) Bread soda rubbed into his coat before a wash gets rid of most of the bad stench.

Mine all eat horse muck . . . . not huge amounts, but all have a nibble most mornings whilst i'm at the stables, does them no harm at all, they all have a very varied and decent diet IMO so i can't see it being because they are lacking anything. :hmm:

As for the rolling, i'm unsure why they do it, but as has been mentioned, 1 swift, firm clout should end any further rolling.

Mine will try and eat horse/cow/sheep/rabbit shit and look as though they are enjoying it highly until i shout at them if that fails my foot up their arse lol. Only gotta say leave it and job done, til im walking infront of them.............also roll in fox shite and any dead rotting animal they come across  Dogs eh we gotta love em and then they come and give you a massive lick on the lips when you least expect it
