I am seriously thinking about it mate. I've got the space here and its a dead cert for me in the future. Had to spend a bit on doing the house up and next task is the garden, once thats done the pigs will arrive. What the slaughter age by the way?

go for it mate tbh its a piece of piss as long as you keep on top of cleaning them out they will help you out by just shitting in one corner lol!!! they hate being dirty imo you can see when you chuck fresh bedding down they roll in it to get any mud off them think the happy as a pig in shit saying is just from lazy farmers!!! cheap to feed too especially this time of year if you put the word out your after any unwanted fruit you will get no end i got a wheelie bin full of fresh plums, apples and pears the other day for feck all :toast: :toast: and all your peelings and out of date food will never be wasted again!!! as for slaughter age tbh i dont excatly but the farmer we got them from is helping us out with them and will say which is best for what as they go at different ages and sizes for different cuts but should all be gone by the age of ten months. the biggest out the piglets we will keep for breeding as she is a good type and the big old spot sow is in pig now for our next lot and we will keep hold of her for a few years for breeding off and dustbin duties untill she is only fit for sausages lol
