New to ferreting and site

Recommended Posts

Hello all, just got my self a couple kits which hopefully will be ready for a bit of sport in the back end of the winter.

I have been looking through this site and this may sound a stupid question to a regular ferreter, but what is the difference mk1, mk2 and mk3 locators?

And can anybody recommend a good website to get them off?

Wishing all dog men, ferreters and gunmen a happy season.

Thanks, NEHunter

Hi mate Mk3 is the best i got mine from www.ianhodgefieldsports.co.uk it was £150 thats for the newest Mk3 m with 1 collar i was going to get it off of ebay but they go for silly prices sometimes also check on the the for sale forums on this site its good to . hope that helped

MK1's are getting old, Deben who make them wont do a service on them anymore, the MK2's are utter crap, do not buy one at any cost, not unless your going metal detecting, MK3m is the future, an expensive piece of kit, but so is anything else that does the job properly, but it will pay you back in hassle free ferreting, and put more rabbits on the surface ;)
